Oxford
Junction plans July 4th event

A special July 4th celebration is being planned in Oxford Junction
tomorrow. All events will be held at Wapsie Park or at the Legionnaire
Ballroom.
9 a.m.--Kids Pedal Tractor Pull Weigh-in
9:30 a.m.--Pedal Tractor Pull, followed by BB gun shoot, basketball
shoot, football throw, and frisbee toss, waterball fight for kids--all
sponsored by Wapsie Bottoms Whitetails. Food Stand and kids games by
Boy Scouts.
3:30 p.m.--Line up for parade at elementary school
4 p.m.--Parade through business district
5-7:30 p.m.--Wapsie Park Board Deep Fried Chicken Supper at Legionnaire
Ballroom
5 p.m.--Cake Walk by Oxford Happy Hustlers Lemonade Stand by Oxford
Livewires
5 p.m.--Oxford Junction Polka Band concert
6 p.m.--Variety Show sponsored by Oxford Homemakes
8 p.m.--Flag Ceremony hosted by American Legion, Wapsie Post, honoring
veterans, flag burning ceremony
Dusk--Huge Fireworks Display
