Wind Advisory In Effect This Morning
Posted 11 March 2009
Wind AdvisoryA Wind Advisory remains in effect until 7 a.m. this morning, Wednesday, March 11.

West to northwest winds of 25 to 35 mph - with peak gusts of up to 40 mph - will continue early this morning. The high winds are expected to diminish some by 8 a.m. but it will continue to be a very windy day, with winds still in the 20 to 30 mph range.

Much cooler air has also moved into the area overnight. Temperatures this morning ranged from around 10 in the northwest to around 20 in the southeast resulting in wind chills from -10 to 10 above.

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 30 mph or greater are expected which can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution if you plan to travel.
