Here's what WE do: We start looking for closings and delays around 4:30 a.m. 
By 6:00 a.m. or so we have a good list.

So about 6:00 a.m., and at other times when updates are needed, we send out an e-mail or a text message to people who have signed up for this service announcing weather-related school delays, cancellations or early-dismissals.
